CHRISTMAS MORNING AT MY SON'S HOUSE

8 am.... So tired! Did not want to get out of bed! But in a matter of minutes her interest was aroused to check out her presents.

Donny wanted a new pillow! And they both gave each other pillows!

Soft Bathrobe for Shelly

Likes the bows!
Don, watching the excitement. He received a pocket knife with PawPa engraved on it.
Amber in her Cheerleading outfit. She changed clothes as fast as she unwrapped them.

We went over to Donny and Shelly's house, cooked breakfast and gave thanks to the Lord for a wonderful day. Opened presents from each other.
I received a beautiful necklace with my Grandbabies pictures engraved on it. New technology is something. I love it and hope your Christmas day is blessed like ours.

CHRISTMAS EVE AT OUR HOME...WHAT A TIME WE HAD!!!

Me, Tammy and Carol, my sister.
We had 34 people over for Christmas Eve, I was too busy to take many pictures. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. The little ones rode the horse. And everyone enjoyed riding around in the Golf Carts. They are a hit around here.
I got to see friends I haven't seen in years. Tammy Robinson and Her dad we have missed them for a long time, and she came-Yeah!
We had Turkey, all the trimmings, about 15 desserts. Everyone brought a dish, so it helped out. The turkey was all gone!!!

Nursing Home Visit 12-23-07

Amber, my grand daughter and I went to the nursing home for a visit today. I think it is called Lake Bennet Nursing home. It is over by Walmart in Ocoee. I have been going there for about 2 years. Amber handed out about 40 cookies and cakes today and wished each one a Merry Christmas while I took pictures.

It did not matter how much dementia they may have, they knew what a smile was and what a cookie was. Amber hugged some of the people. Some of the ladies grabbed Amber first for a hug.

This is Mamie, she has MS and is blind, we go to see her everytime. She is expecting a miracle healing. We bought her a new cd player a few months ago, and she listens to all the teachings and music we bring her. She is a wonderful woman of God, all she talks about is Jesus!

Some of the people struggle to grab the cakes, but they eventually got it.

Everyone was so greatful, it brings tears to your eyes to see how humble these poor forgotten people are. 90% of all people in the nursing homes receive no visits from family members.

Everyone relates to a child here in the nursing homes, Children, for the most part are not afraid, and the people feel their total acceptance. I hope to see some of you go to nursing homes near you and touch lives. God Bless!
